• Role: Internal Senior Accountant
• Scope: Ensure group accounting accuracy, completeness, and timely month-end/year-end closings across multiple companies

Description

You will take ownership of the correctness and timeliness of accounting and closing processes across the group. The job involves identifying discrepancies, tracing their causes, ensuring remediation, and providing strong inputs for consolidation, reporting, and management decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting for individual companies, including monthly and annual closings
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, handle accruals and estimates, and provide consolidation/reporting inputs
• Maintain inventory records and valuation in Odoo, run inventories, and handle fixed-asset records and depreciation
• Account for revenues and accruals, manage invoicing and accounts receivable, match payments, and support payment gateways/terminals/settlements
• Handle taxes: VAT including cross-border EU supplies, corporate income tax, withholding tax; prepare filings inputs and review outputs from external advisors
• Guarantee accounting and control for payroll (incl. DPP/DPČ and related remittances) and coordinate external payroll specialists
• Manage intercompany transactions and recurring balance confirmations; prepare consolidation inputs; collaborate on transfer pricing
• Maintain a uniform chart of accounts and accounting procedures; operate document workflows; automate routine tasks; coordinate with auditors and communicate with authorities

Requirements

• Several years of experience in a Senior or Principal Accounting role
• Independent experience with monthly and annual closings
• Very good knowledge of Czech accounting and tax issues
• Experience with accounting for multiple companies or a complex accounting agenda
• Audit experience, inventory management experience, and experience controlling external payroll processing
• ERP experience and very good Excel or Google Sheets
• Independent, detail-oriented, and able to drive tasks to completion
