Description

Join the Endoscopy Systems R&D team to design intuitive, user-centered digital interfaces and experiences for surgical visualization and OR integration products. You will lead end-to-end UX/UI work—turning customer and clinical needs into concepts, prototypes, and engineering-ready design guidelines—while partnering with engineers and healthcare professionals. The role is aimed at early-career designers who want to grow in product development, user-centered design, and medical technology.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and clinical stakeholders to understand needs of patients and the clinical environment

• Develop concepts and prototypes to test hypotheses, inform product requirements, and validate design assumptions

• Create a cohesive, elegant user experience across physical and digital touchpoints

• Translate high-level design concepts into clear design descriptions and guidelines for implementation

• Partner with technical engineers to launch and support product development

• Balance ideal user experience with business goals and time-to-market constraints

• Lead design reviews, communicate concepts to stakeholders, and contribute to roadmap and sprint planning

• Serve as the primary designer on multiple projects and mentor junior designers where required

• Manage multiple priorities and timelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in product design or a related discipline (interaction, visual communication, graphic, product, industrial, human-computer interaction, or similar)

• 2+ years of professional product design experience for physical and/or digital products, including concept-to-implementation delivery

• Advanced proficiency in Figma for UX/UI design, prototyping, and interaction design

• Experience collaborating in software/product development environments for embedded systems integrating software and hardware

• Ability to commute to San Jose, CA for required in-office days
