Description

As a Senior User Interface Design Engineer, you will craft intuitive, high-trust digital experiences across clinical tools and care-facing platforms. You will own design from discovery through pixel-perfect delivery, blending strategic thinking with hands-on execution and an AI-fluent mindset as AI-assisted design evolves.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design for assigned product verticals: workflow design, information architecture, and interface design for data-dense, human-in-the-loop clinical workflows.
  • Support and contribute to design systems, patterns, and scalable design standards.
  • Present design recommendations and rationale; incorporate feedback and build alignment with stakeholders.
  • Create interactive, high-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate complex interactions and validate user flows.
  • Plan and execute qualitative user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to validate and iterate.
  • Champion WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility and plain-language health literacy.
  • Design with sensitivity to privacy, patient trust, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on product UI/UX design experience delivering digital products, web applications, or complex enterprise platforms from concept to launch; strong portfolio showing complex interface work and clean execution for data-dense applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Expert-level Figma skills: auto-layout, tokens, component variables, and interactive prototyping.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution within established design system and standards.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in an iterative, fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills to articulate decisions, present to cross-functional stakeholders, and discuss technical constraints/tradeoffs with engineers.
  • Demonstrated success using design to improve business and customer outcomes.
  • AI fluency: understanding AI-driven in-product behavior (latency handling, confidence scoring, human-in-the-loop workflows) and genuine interest in AI-assisted design tools.
  • Must reside close to one of the designated IT locations (NYC, Louisville, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Dallas/Frisco, Boston, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, or Charlotte).
  • Home/hybrid requirements: dedicated workspace; internet speed of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Time off including paid time off, company and personal holidays, paid parental and caregiver leave.
  • Short-term and long-term disability.
  • Life insurance and other opportunities.

Pay range: $117,500 - $160,200 per year. Eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
