Description

You will provide daily technical support to employees (and occasionally students) via HelpDesk tickets, perform device setup and maintenance, manage user accounts and data backups/migrations, and support operational applications. In parallel, you will administer network and server infrastructure components including VLAN, VPN, DNS/DHCP, basic firewall administration, Windows/Linux servers, VMware virtualization, and monitoring/alerting with Zabbix. You will also handle basic PBX/IP telephony administration and participate in incident/problem resolution with the IT team.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve helpdesk tickets and provide technical consultations in person and remotely

  • Install, configure, and maintain PCs/laptops, mobile phones, and printers

  • Manage user accounts and data in desktop and cloud applications (Windows, iOS/Android, Microsoft 365); perform backups and data migrations during device replacement/repairs

  • Support operational applications after onboarding

  • Configure and maintain network devices (switches, routers, Wi‑Fi access points) and network services (VLAN, VPN, DNS/DHCP, basic firewall rules)

  • Administer servers (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization environment (VMware): updates, monitoring, alerting (Zabbix), hardware monitoring (iLO/iDRAC), backups, and routine restores

  • Perform basic PBX/IP telephony administration: configure lines/devices and handle common incidents

  • Systematically handle incidents and problems in collaboration with the IT team

Requirements

  • Practical experience in user support (L1–L3) and ability to communicate with internal/external technical specialists

  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, iOS/Android, and remote management tools (TeamViewer, Intune/SCCM preferred)

  • Experience with LAN/Wi‑Fi administration (switches, APs, VLAN), VPN, DNS/DHCP, and basic firewall administration

  • Experience administering Windows Server or Linux and virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V); understanding Active Directory for infrastructure-level administration

  • Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and English reading ability for technical documentation
