Description

You will support and improve the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring stable and secure operations across Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Azure and related virtualization and server/storage technologies. The role includes 3rd-level support for complex IT topics, participation in international IT projects, and continuous optimization of systems, processes, and standards. You will also coordinate external providers, manage IT assets and licenses, maintain IT documentation and compliance, and create reports and analyses for management.

Responsibilities

• Administer and develop IT infrastructure (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Azure)
• Ensure stable and secure system operations, including virtualization and server/storage technologies
• Provide 3rd-level support and act as the central escalation point for complex IT issues
• Contribute to international IT projects and implement new technologies with Group IT
• Continuously improve IT systems, processes, and standards
• Coordinate external service providers as well as IT assets and licenses
• Ensure IT documentation and compliance with policies
• Create reports and analyses to support management

Requirements

• Completed IT training or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in IT infrastructure / systems administration
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure)
• Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V) and ideally server and storage systems
• Basic knowledge of networks
• Business-fluent German and English
• Structured, solution-oriented and independent way of working
• Teamwork and strong communication skills in an international setting
• Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities
• Advantage: knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) or experience with specialized applications (e.g., Solidworks EPDM)
