Description

You will administer and improve customer IT infrastructures, support IT operations with 2nd/3rd level troubleshooting, and deliver changes, migrations, and infrastructure projects. In addition, you will lead training activities: plan and coordinate apprenticeships, coach trainees on technical topics and soft skills, and support onboarding/offboarding and exam preparation. You will also contribute to continuous improvement of training standards and IT landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate training for apprentices, reskilling participants, and interns

  • Create and further develop training and deployment plans

  • Ensure compliance with training regulations, curriculum framework, and company standards

  • Organize and accompany onboarding and offboarding

  • Prepare and support final examinations

  • Provide technical and personal support to trainees in daily work

  • Transfer practical knowledge from day-to-day business

  • Run feedback, development, and career perspective discussions

  • Support learning and exam preparation

  • Contribute to staffing and capacity planning for training positions; support job postings and interviews

  • Represent the organization at career fairs and school events

  • Implement and further develop training standards and collaborate with vocational schools, universities, IHK, and internal stakeholders

  • Participate in regular training roundtables and optimize processes to ensure high training quality

  • Administer and develop customer infrastructures and support Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory)

  • Support virtualization, networking, and cloud solutions

  • Analyze and resolve technical incidents in 2nd/3rd level support

  • Implement changes, migrations, and infrastructure projects; collaborate with internal teams and manufacturers

  • Document and continuously optimize IT landscapes

Requirements

  • First experience with technical and/or people leadership

  • AEVO (Ausbilderschein) or willingness to obtain it

  • Interest in taking responsibility for an apprenticeship team

  • Structured, independent working style

  • Strong communication skills and high empathy

  • Very good German language skills (written and spoken)

  • Completed IT vocational training or comparable qualification

  • Several years of professional IT experience

  • Experience operating virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere/vCenter/ESXi, OpenStack) or cloud platforms

  • Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, firewalling) and storage technologies (SAN, NAS)

  • Backup experience (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik) and monitoring tools (e.g., CheckMK, n-central, Prometheus)

  • Good knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server administration

  • Automation experience (Ansible, Terraform, PowerCLI) is a plus

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management) is an advantage
