Description

You will manage and evolve your own customer IT landscape for SMBs and mid-market companies. The role includes consulting on modern, future-ready IT architectures and delivering IT solutions end-to-end—from planning and implementation to go-live. You will also handle tickets with analysis, changes, and troubleshooting while ensuring high-quality documentation.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of customer environments (SMB & mid-market)
  • Advise customers on modern, future-proof IT architectures
  • Plan, implement, and continuously improve IT solutions and projects
  • Install, configure, and automate complex IT environments
  • Execute migrations, modernization, and renewal projects
  • Process and resolve tickets including analysis, change handling, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure quality, transparency, and clean documentation
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, customers, manufacturers, and partners
  • Actively share knowledge and support the team

Requirements

  • Completed IT education or comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience as a System Engineer (ideally in IT services or data center operations)
  • Practical, hands-on Windows Server infrastructure skills (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file services)
  • Solid experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox)
  • Secure knowledge of server, storage, and backup solutions (e.g., HPE, Dell, NetApp, Pure Storage, Veeam Backup & Replication)
  • Network & security knowledge, especially firewalling (FortiGate, Sophos, pfSense) and switching & WLAN (Cisco, HPE Aruba, UniFi)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (introduction, migration, operations)
  • Basic project management knowledge and experience planning and implementing IT projects
  • Structured, self-organized working style and strong responsibility
  • Communication skills, team spirit, and enjoyment of working with customers and partners
  • High learning readiness and motivation to onboard quickly
  • Very good German (spoken and written)
