Description

You’ll be trained to design and install communication and security systems (e.g., telephone, alarm, monitoring), configure electronic components and network and server/client systems, and support customer projects on-site. The apprenticeship also covers programming and further development of applications, software updates, and performing data backups. You will learn to analyze and fix faults in communication and monitoring systems and assist with repairs, maintenance, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Plan and install communication and security technology systems

• Configure electronic assemblies, network components, and server/client systems

• Deliver customer setups on-site (e.g., new internet connections) as part of a service team

• Program and further develop applications; perform data backups; update software

• Install networks, computers, and software components

• Troubleshoot and repair faults in communication and monitoring systems; maintain customer systems

• Advise and support customers; provide service

• Participate in practical training that may include business travel across Germany for on-site projects

Requirements

• At least an intermediate secondary school certificate (Mittlere Reife) or Abitur with good grades in Mathematics and Physics

• Enthusiasm for IT topics and manual/technical aptitude

• Flexibility, helpfulness, communication skills, and high quality awareness

• Enjoyment of learning and tackling new tasks and challenges

• Fun learning and strong commitment

• Good German and English skills in spoken and written form
