Description

Join as a Systems Engineer to administer, operate, and continuously improve IT infrastructure across servers, clients, and networks. You will monitor systems, analyze and resolve incidents, manage Microsoft 365 and cloud services, and support Windows and/or Linux administration. The role also includes implementing IT security measures and ensuring backup/recovery and high availability.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, clients, and network systems

  • Monitor IT systems and analyze/troubleshoot disruptions

  • Administer Windows and/or Linux systems

  • Manage Microsoft 365 and cloud services

  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies

  • Develop and maintain network components (switches, firewalls, VPN, WLAN)

  • Plan and implement IT projects and infrastructure changes

  • Ensure backup, recovery, and fault tolerance/high availability

  • Implement and continuously improve IT security measures

  • Document systems, processes, and IT infrastructure

  • Support IT support with complex technical issues

  • Collaborate with external IT service providers and manufacturers

  • Create and maintain technical concepts and operational documentation

  • Continuously optimize and automate IT processes

Requirements

  • Completed IT-related training (e.g., IT specialist for system integration) or equivalent qualification

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure

  • Good knowledge of Windows and/or Linux system administration

  • Experience with networking technologies and concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls

  • Basic knowledge of IT security, backup, and monitoring

  • Analytical and structured way of working

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • High initiative with strong service and quality orientation

  • German and English proficiency; German B2 required

  • Driving license (preferred)
