Description

In this Electrical Engineering co-op, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the development and maintenance of superconducting MRI magnet products and technologies. You will primarily test key components, assist with the design, assembly, and testing of electronic controllers and superconducting magnets, troubleshoot electrical issues in printed circuit boards, and collaborate with engineers and scientists to implement design solutions. You will conduct experiments and tests to evaluate prototype performance and reliability and document results with detailed reports.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines
• Hands-on laboratory experience setting up and executing test protocols
• Knowledge of safety protocols and standards in a lab environment
• Experience with 3D modeling, circuit design and analysis tools, and finite element analysis (plus other engineering tools)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn
• Ability to successfully perform the minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation
• US work authorization; visa sponsorship not supported

Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $26.00 to $29.00, plus overtime eligible (actual base pay may vary)
