Description

Develop sophisticated detection, classification, localization, and tracking (DCLT) systems for high-noise environments and custom payloads for autonomous vehicle guidance and control. Design and implement real-time control systems and hardware solutions for analyzing physical phenomena using advanced sensor/circuit/device testing and analysis. Lead the full hardware design workflow from requirements through debug and test.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy DCLT capabilities in high-noise environments

  • Design and develop custom autonomous vehicle payloads for guidance and control

  • Create real-time control system architectures for physical system performance

  • Plan program portions and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams

  • Lead end-to-end design workflow: requirements → design → schematic capture → PCB layout → fabrication → assembly → debug → test

  • Participate in proposals and make customer presentations for new business development

  • Perform some overnight travel as required

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship

  • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1

  • STEM degree with 5+ years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years, or 9+ years without a degree

  • Experience taking conceptual designs to complete hardware designs with verification via test and integration

  • Prior hardware engineering background in both digital and analog circuit design

  • Experience with circuit simulation and analysis using Spice, LTspice, and MATLAB

  • Experience writing test procedures and conducting tests using electronic test and measurement equipment
