Description

The Electrical Engineering Intern will contribute to achieving exceptional results in safety, cost, and reliability through field-based, interactive work with maintenance and production teams. You will learn power distribution, process control, and steel-making fundamentals while supporting maintenance and engineering activities. The role emphasizes safety leadership and practical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Learn power distribution, process control, and process fundamentals involved in steel making

  • Support maintenance/engineering projects focused on safety, cost, and reliability

  • Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs and routines

  • Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and process-related issues

  • Develop skills in system troubleshooting, power quality, and power transmission within steel making processes

  • Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Requirements

  • Rising junior or senior

  • Fundamental knowledge of protection and control schemes

  • Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime

  • Legally authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship now or in the future
