Description

The Senior Manager, Network Architecture & Engineering provides leadership for the strategy, design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of the enterprise network environment. This role is accountable for secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective network capabilities across campus, manufacturing, data center, cloud, wireless, and WAN environments, combining technical architecture ownership, operational accountability, vendor management, and direct people leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise networking strategy, architecture, and roadmap (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, and network security).
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, resilient network solutions for business operations and manufacturing environments.
  • Drive network modernization initiatives: wireless transformation, segmentation, automation, cloud networking, monitoring, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Oversee planning, deployment, migration, and optimization of network infrastructure across global corporate and plant locations.
  • Establish and maintain network engineering standards, documentation, change management processes, and operational best practices.
  • Partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, and business teams to ensure performance, availability, security, and compliance.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex network incidents; lead root cause analysis and long-term remediation.
  • Manage and optimize routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, internet edge, and cloud connectivity platforms.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global network engineering team, including workforce planning, performance management, skills development, and resource allocation.
  • Manage relationships with business stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners; communicate risks and strategic priorities to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise network architecture, engineering, implementation, and operations in complex, multi-site environments.
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing network engineering or related technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating Cisco and Aruba network solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, subnetting, VLANs, QoS, OSPF, BGP, wireless networking, network security principles, and high-availability design.
  • Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure initiatives from architecture through implementation and operational stabilization.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and vendor management skills.
