Description

Lead and coordinate customer-facing quotation and technical requests for complex actuation projects. Provide technical review and cost analysis to deliver timely and accurate quotations while ensuring compliance with site procedures and applicable regulatory codes and standards. Support customers through internal quotation processing and customer specification review, including comments, clarifications, and alternatives to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the internal quotation process and customer specification review for assigned products or accounts

  • Prepare technical quotations using sales/data manuals, charts, catalogs, product brochures, articles, and engineering data/drawings

  • Size actuators and perform additional sizing calculations and analysis for quotations

  • Coordinate with product management, engineering, R&D, QA, and other technical departments to minimize technical and cost risk

  • Ensure all quotation elements are completed accurately and on time (technical/commercial terms, approvals, documentation requests)

  • Create cost estimates and margin analysis spreadsheets with supply chain/manufacturing (material, burden, labor)

  • Apply finance fundamentals (profit/loss, terms and conditions) to mitigate risk and improve operational results

  • Review customer purchase orders for compliance to quotations and specifications (technical, pricing, delivery, terms)

  • Provide technical feedback for customer complaints or concerns

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • 3–5 years related experience and/or training

  • Ability to interpret scientific/technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents

  • Ability to apply logical/scientific reasoning and interpret formulas/equations/graphs

  • Learn Avante and use Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel productively

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic knowledge of commercial issues (payment terms, shipping terms, contract review)
