Description

The Senior Medical Director co-develops medical strategy and leads planning and execution of medical affairs activities for Neurology/Myasthenia Gravis. The role serves as a key scientific/medical resource in a cross-functional, matrix organization and collaborates with external stakeholders including healthcare practitioners, key opinion leaders, and payers. Responsibilities include Phase 4 data generation and analysis, post-marketing study report medical content, safety monitoring, and scientific support for evidence generation, publications, communications, and congress activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain deep scientific and medical knowledge of Neurology / Myasthenia Gravis, treatment landscape, and clinical decision-making
• Lead medical affairs execution as part of the cross-functional medical team
• Generate, analyze, and interpret data for Phase 4 studies (interventional and observational)
• Develop medical content for post-marketing study reports and analyses of clinical data; support safety monitoring to ensure patient safety
• Support development of strategic medical plans, publications, communications, and integrated evidence generation plans
• Present medical content at congresses, symposia, and advisory boards
• Bring patients’ and physicians’ voice to cross-functional teams to enable impactful decision-making
• Provide medical training for internal staff on investigational/approved products, disease state, and unmet needs

Requirements

• MD with board eligibility/certification in Neurology; minimum 10 years relevant experience; 5+ years Medical Affairs experience in Pharma/Biotech
• OR PhD or PharmD; minimum 12 years relevant experience; 8+ years Medical Affairs experience in Pharma/Biotech
• Direct experience in Myasthenia Gravis or Neurology rare disease; prior launch experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work in a dynamic matrix environment with excellent collaboration and communication
• Demonstrated deep understanding of medical affairs accountabilities
• Thorough understanding of the Neurology/Myasthenia Gravis healthcare environment and key stakeholders
