Description

Maintain the stable, secure, high-performance operation of the IT system landscape (clients, servers, and network) and ensure continuous improvement of IT support (1st–3rd level) with sustainable solutions. Proactively develop and automate system environments such as monitoring, patch management, and deployment processes, and handle complex incidents using root-cause analysis. Contribute to and partly lead IT projects including IT security, cloud integration, and rollouts, while continuously improving documentation, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable, secure, and performant operation of clients, servers, and network
• Develop and improve IT support (1st–3rd level) with a focus on long-term solutions
• Automate and advance system environments (monitoring, patch management, deployment)
• Analyze complex issues and perform root-cause analysis for lasting fixes
• Participate in technical design and partially lead IT projects (IT security, cloud integration, rollouts)
• Create, maintain, and continuously improve documentation, standards, and best practices
• Serve as a key interface to business departments and sparring partner for colleagues (including international context)
• Identify optimization opportunities and continuously improve IT infrastructure and processes

Requirements

• Completed training in IT or comparable degree
• 5+ years experience administering complex hybrid IT environments (Windows, Linux, on-premise, cloud)
• Experience beyond classic servicedesk, ideally including project work or system design
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows permission structures, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
• Experience designing and implementing IT security measures
• Secure handling of automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Analytical, structured problem-solving and high quality standards
• Independent, proactive work style with strong understanding of IT security and data protection
• Very good communication skills in German and English
