Description

You will lead large-scale, cross-functional data science initiatives critical to the organization, taking ownership of strategic intent and results even when both the problem and solution approach are not well-defined. You will orchestrate execution across multiple teams, manage dependencies and timelines, and translate cutting-edge research into practical, scalable solutions. You will also define new data-science processes and mentor senior data scientists while advising executive leadership on complex technical decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of large, cross-functional initiatives where both problem and solution approach are not well-defined
  • Orchestrate efforts across multiple teams, managing dependencies and setting realistic timelines
  • Foster shared ownership across teams and implement practical, scalable solutions from industry research
  • Define and roll out new processes, methodologies, and best practices across the Data organization
  • Mentor senior-level data scientists and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics)
  • 8+ years of professional data science experience
  • Deep expertise in multiple complex data science areas (e.g., XGBoost, deep learning, NLP)
  • Proven experience as a technical lead defining and driving strategic initiatives for multiple teams simultaneously
  • Mastery of advanced Python and SQL for large-scale data manipulation, analysis, and architectural design
  • Expertise in evaluating and selecting cutting-edge methodologies for ambiguous business problems
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing robust MLOps pipelines for large-scale model deployment and monitoring
  • Proven ability to define and enforce clean code standards and software engineering best practices
  • Experience mentoring and developing senior-level data scientists
  • Exceptional communication skills and track record as a trusted advisor to leadership
