Description

You will develop and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure together with a 5-person IT Operations team, ensuring compliance with security policies. The role includes installing, configuring, and administering servers, backups, firewall, and security systems, as well as continuously monitoring and optimizing the network and firewall environment for performance, availability, and security. You will also analyze and resolve incidents, support business areas with technical questions, and deliver IT projects such as server and Microsoft 365 tenant migrations while automating operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop IT infrastructure and ensure adherence to security guidelines
  • Install, configure, and administer server, backup, firewall, and security systems
  • Continuously monitor and optimize network and firewall environments
  • Analyze incidents in a structured way and implement sustainable fixes
  • Support specialist departments with technical questions
  • Implement IT projects independently and as a team (e.g., server and Microsoft 365 tenant migrations)
  • Automate operating procedures and assess needs for hardware and software

Requirements

  • Training as an IT specialist for system integration or a comparable qualification via study or work experience
  • Several years of professional experience installing, administering, and developing complex enterprise IT systems
  • Successfully completed IT projects
  • Strong knowledge of client and server operating systems
  • Sound knowledge of complex firewall and network environments
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with firewall and network technologies including routing
  • Knowledge of VLAN, virtualization, and SAN systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Server, Microsoft 365, and Azure
  • Service-oriented working style, initiative, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Responsible, team-oriented, and goal-driven work
  • German proficiency at C1 level or higher; good English skills
  • Advantage: VoIP, SQL databases, and IT security knowledge
