Description

Design and optimize secure IT infrastructure architecture concepts and the target architecture in close collaboration with the Senior IT Domain Architect. Develop and implement infrastructure security standards, create high-level solution designs for complex topics, evaluate new infrastructure technologies, and drive continuous improvement of IT operations concepts and processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, compare, assess, and optimize complex IT architecture concepts and target architecture with close coordination to the Senior IT Domain Architect; actively support and ensure implementation.

• With other information security specialists, further develop infrastructure security standards and ensure that security concepts are implemented in the IT infrastructure.

• Create and keep up to date requirements, documentation, and guidelines for solution designers; communicate them and ensure compliance.

• Create high-level solution designs for questions with high novelty, broad scope, and/or criticality.

• Identify technologies, evaluate new infrastructure solutions, and prepare findings for different audiences such as management and system administrators.

• Drive continuous development of IT operations concepts and processes.

• Participate in the Architecture Panel: bring domain architecture decisions, and review decisions from other domains regarding dependencies and conformity with the target vision.

Requirements

• Completed degree in (business) computer science or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills and excellent knowledge in developing and modeling security for IT infrastructure.

• Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, including ArchiMate/UML, Windows and Linux servers, virtualization (e.g., VMware), networks, firewalls, databases, IT security, Microsoft-based services (e.g., AD, File, Print), enterprise cloud solutions, and server/storage hardware.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience as an IT Infrastructure Architect or IT Security Architect.

• Demonstrated experience in laterally leading teams.

• Experience in leading IT projects.

• Very good German and good English skills (written and spoken).

• Ideally one or more certifications: ITIL Expert, COBIT, PRINCE 2, Microsoft certified Azure Solution Architect, MCSE, or VMware Certified Architect (VCAP).
