Description

Lead an engineering team to develop and launch manufacturing processes for new model (NM), non-new model (NNM), and adaptation programs. Own engineering scope definition through RFQs, sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, installation, qualification, and launch of facilities and process supporting equipment. Drive Flow activities, manage the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, and Cost), and implement the Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) methodology including systematic root cause problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments for process changes and related investment requirements for cost studies.
• Oversee engineering scope definition, RFQs, sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of air/mist/coolant collectors and filtration.
• Manage and prioritize NNM powertrain program requests to ensure on-time, within-budget completion.
• Manage NM program facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installation.
• Lead Flow activities and track performance against the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, Cost).
• Lead implementation of SIS methodology and systematic root cause problem solving to close risks.
• Develop and improve process and equipment standards for facilities infrastructure.
• Support Engine, Transmission, e-components (EDM, Motors) and/or Chassis (Battery Tray, Cradles, Cross Car Beams).
• Drive facilities standardization across plants in all regions.
• Lead procurement, design, build, install, qualification, and launch of facilities and process supporting equipment/infrastructure.
• Support SIS initiatives and serve as a Center of Competency facilities support role for the NAFTA region.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or High School diploma/GED plus 5 years of technical/engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization.
• Strong oral, written, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to translate technical data and analysis into executive summaries.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and present data to all levels in easily understandable formats.
• Ability to implement SPW principles and lead effectively in a bargaining unit environment.
• Ability to embrace cross-functional teams responsible for developing, specifying, building, and launching powertrain manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute large-scale projects on time and within budget.
• Ability to lead, teach, coach, and mentor employees; strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Knowledge of advanced problem-solving and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and drive them to closure.
• Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning is a plus.
• High demonstration of leadership and teamwork characteristics.
• Microsoft Office intermediate or advanced knowledge; G Suite applications a plus.
• Ability to travel 21%–40%.
