Description

Director 1 – System Integration & Test Chief Engineer within the Sentinel Office of the Chief Engineer (Strategic Deterrent Systems Division), focused on system-level Integration & Test.

What You Will Get To Do

  • Execute SDS Office of the Chief Engineer priorities with a focus on system-level Integration & Test.
  • Ensure program adherence to engineering processes across development, verification, production, and sustainment; ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Maintain an achievable technical baseline balancing technical performance with cost and schedule, focusing on Key Performance Parameters and Technical Performance Measures.
  • Support PMT meetings including TRB, WSWG, CCB, PMR, and ROMB.
  • Resolve cross-team disconnects so design decisions meet system performance.
  • Support strategic SDS initiatives on tools, processes, and cross-program technical reviews.
  • Champion long-term technical objectives within Sentinel and the SDS division.
  • Support technical interchange meetings with Sentinel partners.
  • Lead hardware and deliverable-focused deep dives for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across SDS.
  • Identify opportunities and support engagement activities across IPTs.
  • Identify and mentor high-potential technical leaders.

Work Schedule

Standard 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off).

You Will Bring These Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with at least 10 years of progressive engineering experience
  • Experience formally leading engineering teams and/or organizations
  • Demonstrated performance executing integration and test on an engineering development program
  • Demonstrated experience with agile software/hardware integration
  • Experience in incremental verification of capabilities including integration/testing for initial and follow-on verification and fielding events
  • Experience addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for engineering development or systems integration
  • Advanced knowledge within a single engineering discipline and experience across disciplines
  • Experience with complex engineering tools and processes (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)
  • Active DoD Secret clearance; investigation completed within last 5 years

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

  • 16 years of STEM-focused experience
  • Ability to identify complex problems, communicate the problem statement, and develop actionable solutions
  • Complex system of systems integration and test experience
  • Experience across the development lifecycle from concept through verification, production, and fielding
  • Experience managing customer and/or supplier relationships
  • Prior experience interfacing with USAF leadership personnel
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Strong sense of urgency and work ethic to meet customer and program expectations

Compensation Notes

Primary level salary range: $193,800.00 – $290,600.00. Overtime/shift differential/discretionary bonus may apply; long-term incentives may apply for VP/Director-level roles.
