Description

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead technical excellence and strategic projects to deliver new product and process innovations. The role combines deep technical problem-solving with leadership and project execution across Intelligent Controls & Automation, Mechanical Design & Development, Manufacturing Process Development, Converting & Packing Engineering, Instrumentation & Metrology, Robotics Engineering, and Environmental & Civil Engineering. You will build long-term technical capability, drive adoption of advanced digital solutions, and ensure HS&E/Quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and implementation of complex control systems, robotics, Industry 4.0 technologies, and AI/ML solutions; build digital landscapes for production equipment and lead data analytics for control system improvements
  • Lead all phases of mechanical process/equipment development and prototyping; use modeling, analysis, and hands-on prototyping to deliver disruptive solutions and identify emerging technologies
  • Translate R&D innovations into scalable manufacturing processes; validate packaging materials, create technical specifications, optimize production lines, and manage supplier qualifications
  • Lead invention and refinement of material conversion and high-speed packaging technologies; drive mechanical design and process optimization
  • Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of precision instrumentation and metrology systems for quality control and performance optimization
  • Lead conceptualization, development, and integration of robotic solutions for manufacturing tasks
  • Lead sustainable engineering solutions (waste, energy, water) and manage site infrastructure projects
  • Build long-term technical capability; lead adoption of advanced digital solutions; ensure HS&E/Quality standards

Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Materials Science, Packaging Science, Environmental, Civil)
  • 0–5 years of relevant work experience (internships, co-ops, research experience, academic count)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify root causes, develop comprehensive technical solutions, and interpret data
  • Strong technical curiosity to proactively develop new approaches to complex problems
  • Desire and demonstrated capability to lead projects; manage timelines and budgets; drive results in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and experience; strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly embrace and adapt to changes in project scope, schedule, and cost; proactive and self-driven
  • Willingness to relocate throughout your career; relocation support available to those who qualify
  • Ability to travel 10–25% as business needs dictate

Preferred

  • Experience with industrial PLCs (Rockwell), process/machine control, sensors, motors, industrial automation, or computer/industrial networks
  • Experience with robotics, machine vision, or programming (Python, LabVIEW, Java, C#)
  • Proven application of mechanical systems engineering (3D CAD, CAE, machine design, mechatronics)
  • Experience in R&D, advanced manufacturing, or technical centers
  • Specific expertise in packaging materials/processes and/or precision instrumentation/metrology
