Description

The Sr. Specialist, Graphic Design translates creative direction into executed design across Ally’s in-house work. Working from the tone and vision set by the Creative Director, the role resolves concepts into polished, on-brand work with a keen eye for design, layout, balance, and visual weight.

Responsibilities

  • Translate creative direction and brand vision into resolved, high-craft design, collaborating closely with the Art Director.
  • Execute high-impact design across brand, campaign, digital, print, and executive-level presentation formats.
  • Bring a keen eye for typography, layout, hierarchy, balance, and visual weight.
  • Help govern and guide design practices and principles for consistency and craftsmanship across every touchpoint.
  • Apply and steward brand and design standards to keep quality high and the look cohesive.
  • Build reusable design assets, templates, and systems that protect quality and help the team move faster.
  • Bring rigor to details: final polish, typographic precision, print and pixel accuracy, and clean, well-built files.
  • Support strong design practice across the team by sharing craft expertise.
  • Stay current on design tools, trends, and techniques, including AI-assisted design, and recommend what’s genuinely worth adopting.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience
  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience at a senior level
  • Standout portfolio demonstrating mastery of fundamentals (typography, layout, composition, color, balance, visual weight)
  • Breadth across mediums (brand, digital, print, campaign, presentation)
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and fluency in Figma
  • Exacting eye for detail, consistency, and brand integrity
  • Ability to take creative direction and give/receive feedback well
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Motion/animation fundamentals or comfort designing for motion (After Effects)
  • Experience applying/maintaining brand and design systems at scale
  • Strong executive and presentation design skills
  • Photography or art-direction sensibility
  • Familiarity with current AI-assisted design tools
