Description

At DoorDash, this role helps lead the evolution of design with build-first practices and scaling them across people, processes, and systems, as LLMs expand the scope toward strategic thinking and direct execution. Your impact includes improving team velocity and autonomy through reusable workflows, shared tools, and decision frameworks, while driving business outcomes through faster experimentation and shorter iteration cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Define projects with a clear point of view by writing briefs that synthesize customer insights and business goals into actionable roadmaps
  • Bring clarity to ambiguous, cross-team problems and turn them into shippable work; drive prioritization and make tradeoffs between quality, speed, and impact
  • Lead projects from concept through execution; stay close during iteration to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Deliver high-fidelity designs and production-ready prototypes
  • Design across systems and workflows; contribute to shared tools such as prompt libraries, component generators, and workflow automations
  • Mentor peers on responsible AI usage and create reusable frameworks that scale beyond the team
  • Build cross-functional relationships and influence roadmaps using evidence-based thinking and tangible prototypes
  • Multiply team impact through mentorship, recruiting, and inclusive practices

Requirements

  • Portfolio demonstrating craft excellence, systems thinking, and leadership through influence
  • Use data to inform decisions, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-impact outcomes
  • Comfortable working in code and with LLM-powered tools; prototyping in production and contributing to implementation when needed
  • Ability to design and build solutions that scale across teams and workflows
  • Thrive in ambiguity and create clarity through shipped work
  • Develop AI-assisted or LLM-powered workflows supporting component creation, documentation, evaluation, automation, and design system scalability
  • Produce clear design specifications, system documentation, governance artifacts, and reusable implementation guidance
  • Balance user needs, accessibility standards, business goals, and technical constraints to create feasible, polished, scalable digital experiences
  • Analyze product usage, workflow effectiveness, and user feedback to iterate on launched designs and improve metrics such as efficiency, consistency, conversion, retention, and customer satisfaction
