Description

Lead UX discovery and design activities to create streamlined, intuitive, consistent, accessible, great-looking, and easy-to-use products that meet or anticipate client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead meetings with users, clients, product sponsors and technology to understand project requirements
  • Plan and perform UX research, define IA, user journeys, and create personas
  • Identify metrics and data that support decision-making; guide tech partners to add needed metrics
  • Collaborate with users, stakeholders, business analysts, product managers and development teams to brainstorm and co-create solutions
  • Perform relevant testing to validate and inform design decisions
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools such as Sketch, InVision, Axure, and the Adobe suite
  • Apply a positive and constructive attitude to feedback
  • Use and contribute to the approved design system
  • Contribute to design standards and best practices
  • Provide detailed handover to development teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly
  • Provide ongoing support to development with regular UX review checkpoints to ensure quality and spec alignment
  • Keep up to date with the latest UX practices, innovations, and tools
  • Ensure all designs comply with ADA/WCAG standards for accessibility
  • Deliver on-time by identifying and managing risks and escalating when needed
  • Help train, support, and develop junior team members
  • Confidently challenge substandard work by other team members and provide coaching and guidance
  • Contribute to the wider UX community of practice
  • Identify and articulate design and technical conflicts and help resolve them
  • Promote the value of UX within the wider organization
  • Assess risk for business decisions with consideration for reputation, compliance with laws/rules/regulations and policy, ethical judgment, and transparent escalation/management of control issues

Requirements

  • 6 - 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail & analytical skills
  • Significant experience on complex, enterprise-scale design projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent skills in professional design tools (Sketch, Figma, AdobeXD, Axure, InVision, etc.)
  • Experience using/creating design systems
  • Keen interest in, or knowledge of, banking or finance
  • HTML/CSS development skills
  • Participation in external UX groups or communities
  • Bachelor’s/University degree (Master’s degree preferred)
  • At least one formal UX Qualification
