About the role

We are seeking a Strategic License Manager to oversee, govern, and monitor compliance with the terms and conditions of global Oracle licensing contracts. You will work closely with Oracle database service units and IT stakeholders to ensure license compliance and cost optimization. In addition to Oracle license management, you will oversee license management portfolios of additional strategic software vendors.

If you are interested in shaping a compliant and cost-optimized Oracle and strategic software licensing landscape in an international environment, this role offers the opportunity to work with ~3,000 Oracle databases across different deployment scenarios.

How you will get the job done

  • Manage license compliance for the company-wide Oracle Database ULA contract, including regular reviews and cost-effective licensing guidance
  • Act as the single point of contact for IT database service, Central Procurement, Third-Party Risk Management, Business Owners, Relationship Owners, and vendor auditors
  • Monitor Oracle Java license compliance, initiate remediation actions for compliance issues, and support migrations away from Oracle Java
  • Monitor fulfilment of the Oracle Database @ Azure contract and ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Support global allocation of costs to Oracle license users, ensuring transparency and fairness in cost distribution
  • Manage Tier-1 vendor license portfolios, supporting compliance and cost-effective contract renewals across the Group

Skills and experience you will need

  • Fluency in English
  • Relevant professional qualification, such as a university degree in Finance, Economics, or Information Technology
  • Strong customer focus and the ability to navigate complex, cross-functional topics
  • Proven experience in Oracle Database and Java licensing, including ULA contracts and virtual infrastructures, especially VMware
  • High degree of independence and drive to take responsibility and deliver results
  • Consulting and collaborative working style that supports accountability and knowledge sharing
  • High service orientation and strong internal and external client focus, combined with operational efficiency

Nice to have

  • Experience with additional strategic software vendors and their licensing models
  • Experience in multinational or matrix organizations
  • Familiarity with software asset management tools and license audit processes
