How you will get the job done

• Govern Power BI Premium/Microsoft Fabric capacity, manage workloads and On-Premises Gateway, and tune performance.
• Design robust Calculation Groups to enable scalable, reusable analytics logic.
• Create dimensional models, surrogate key strategies, and modern ETL/ELT processes that support reliable upstream data pipelines.
• Optimize Power BI performance, including model design, Direct Query/composite model tuning, query-performance analysis, and large-scale reports.
• Propagate filters, use embedding APIs, handle security context, and secure or restrict Edit Mode capabilities in embedded Power BI scenarios.
• Enforce modeling best practices, automate refactoring, validate dependencies, and optimize complex semantic models.
• Communicate with business super users and domain experts.
• Optimize Direct Query/Delta Lake interactions, coordinate schema evolution with data engineering teams, and ensure reliable end-to-end data flows between Databricks and Power BI architecture.
• Design and implement complex role-based security concepts, including row-level security (RLS), object-level security (OLS), user cultures, embedded-specific identity mapping, and enterprise-grade authorization models.

Skills and experience you will need

• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Technical knowledge of Power BI Premium, DAX, Azure Databricks, and dimensional modeling.
• Experience in Power BI Embedded, Microsoft Fabric, and XMLA Endpoint operations.
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps, Tabular Editor (v2/v3), DAX Studio, and ALM Toolkit.
• Active participation in a Scrum and Agile cross-functional team developing software for innovative business products.
