Senior Software Engineer (SAP ABAP Developer)

How you will get the job done

  • Design, code, and test complex programs according to agreed specifications, architecture guidelines, and coding guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain source-system reporting functionality based on CDS views.
  • Implement and execute unit tests and support business testing.
  • Process application incidents, including analysis and bug fixing.
  • Provide technical application support and perform maintenance tasks, including bug fixes, business support, and interface monitoring.
  • Prepare documentation before releases to production systems.
  • Analyze non-functional requirements.
  • Perform development activities during stack and release upgrades, including SPDD, SPAU, transport releases, and SAP Note implementation.

Skills and experience you will need

  • Good command of business English, at least B2 level.
  • University degree in Computer Engineering, IT, or a similar qualification.
  • At least 8 years of software development experience as a developer in modern ABAP.
  • Knowledge of clean coding, object-oriented development principles, agile development, and DevOps technologies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options.
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills for working in global hybrid teams.

Nice to have

  • SAP FAM and Fiori knowledge.
  • Experience with BizTalk middleware solutions.
  • SAP FI knowledge and experience, including table structures and programming.
  • Knowledge of new technologies such as BTP.
