Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an academic and clinical Neurosurgeon, you will provide comprehensive general and functional neurosurgery services as part of a highly respected team. You will have the opportunity to work with learners, residents, and fellows from Creighton University School of Medicine.

The Neuroscience Institute integrates medical experts in neurology, neuroradiology, neuro-critical care, radiation oncology, and neurosurgery to provide advanced care for patients with complex neurological disorders.

To be successful in this role, you will be board eligible or board certified in Neurosurgery. This opportunity is suited to physicians passionate about providing comprehensive neurosurgery services, using a patient-centered approach, and collaborating with colleagues. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a collegial, team-oriented environment.

This Opportunity Offers

  • Primary practice location at CUMC Bergan Mercy Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center.
  • Thrombectomy-capable, stroke-certified center with a biplane suite.
  • Modern OR equipment, including Kinevo microscope with fluorescence, Stealth navigation, and O-Arm.
  • Flexibility and input into the specific schedule.
  • Primary and backup call shifts, plus inpatient care at CUMC Bergan Mercy Hospital.
  • Opportunity to cover outpatient clinic while on backup call.

Job Requirements

Required

  • MD or DO degree
  • BE/BC in Neurosurgery
  • Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska
  • DEA Certification
  • BLS
