Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a General Cardiologist, you will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists, interpret advanced cardiovascular diagnostics, and help expand access to high-quality cardiology services throughout Nebraska.
To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist with strong clinical expertise, a patient-centered approach to care, and a commitment to collaboration. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive within a collegial, team-oriented environment.
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology services
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad spectrum of cardiovascular disease
- Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic studies
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based approaches to cardiovascular care
- Provide inpatient cardiology consultative services at CHI Health St. Elizabeth
- Practice primarily at Nebraska Heart Institute and CHI Health Nebraska Heart Hospital
- Collaborate with specialists in Advanced Cardiac Imaging, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, Vascular Surgery, and Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Participate in outreach clinics designed to expand access to cardiovascular care and strengthen regional referral relationships
- Work alongside experienced advanced practice providers and dedicated cardiovascular support staff
- Collaborate with a robust primary care referral network that supports continued practice growth
- Participate in clinical research opportunities through an established and active cardiovascular research division
- Contribute to advancements in cardiovascular medicine through participation in research and quality initiatives
- Utilize EPIC as the integrated electronic medical record platform
- Participate in educational opportunities through an academic affiliation with Creighton University
- Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, innovation, teamwork, and patient-centered cardiovascular care

Job Requirements
Required
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Internal Medicine
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program
- Valid and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Nebraska

CHI Health Clinic Heart Institute and Nebraska Heart Institute are part of an integrated network of primary care, specialty care, and hospital-based services. Nebraska Heart Institute offers non-invasive cardiology, advanced cardiac imaging, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart procedures, vascular surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery.
CHI Health Nebraska Heart Hospital is a 63-bed cardiovascular specialty hospital designed exclusively for cardiac and vascular care. It uses a universal bed model that allows patients to remain in the same room throughout their hospitalization, supporting continuity of care and patient satisfaction.
Providers also collaborate with CHI Health St. Elizabeth, a 258-bed regional medical center serving southeast Nebraska. These facilities provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular services and support access to specialty care throughout the region.
The academic affiliation with Creighton University School of Medicine offers opportunities to participate in medical education, mentorship, and academic collaboration.
