Responsibilities

  • Run and manage multiple complex projects with budgets of approximately £1m–£4m, taking responsibility for delivery using formal project-management techniques as appropriate.

  • Manage vendor relationships and effective resource utilization; minimize external onshore and offshore resource use and ensure timely onboarding and offboarding.
  • Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and act as the key point of contact for each project.
  • Identify issues and risks, analyze options, and manage impacts to mitigate delays and keep projects on track.
  • Monitor and report progress against milestones and budgets, providing consistent and transparent communication to Management and Executive Leadership.
  • Track and manage all actual project costs, including SOWs, purchase orders, contracts, and internal resource assignments; maintain accurate forecasts and accruals in SAP and Clarity.
  • Coordinate completion of documentation, project plans, change requests, approvals, lifecycle steps, and compliance-gate requests to keep projects aligned with the agreed schedule.

Skills and experience you will need

  • Fluency in English.
  • At least 7 years of successful experience managing IT infrastructure, workplace, or application projects in a technically complex and dynamic environment, ideally in global finance, insurance, or another regulated industry.

  • Strong project management, financial management, change management, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to lead and direct projects under a unified project approach without compromising business outcomes and priority constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience managing diverging stakeholder interests.
  • Ability to create meaningful reports and summarize project health status for stakeholder presentations.
  • Ability to manage and track project costs and budgets against agreed baselines.
  • Ability to lead functional and geographic workstreams and coordinate unified business delivery.
  • Consulting and collaborative working style, with a focus on accountability and knowledge sharing.
