Opportunity Highlights

• Join a busy practice of 10 physicians, 10 fellows, and 7 NPs.
• 1:3 call rotation, with opportunity for excess call at $1,500 per diem; fellows take first call.
• Practice includes inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.
• Provide the full range of cardiology services, including non-invasive, invasive, interventional, and EP care, in collaboration with cardiac surgery and vascular surgery. Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and cardioversions are required.
• Participate in a growing structural heart center with an established TAVR program, active LAAO/Watchman program, heart-team infrastructure including CT surgery, imaging, and anesthesia, and registry participation in TVT, LAAO, and NCDR.
• Training opportunity with a Cardiology fellowship program.
• Outreach opportunities at one of 10 critical access hospitals in a 14-county network.
• Primary service area of approximately 300,000 people.
• Practice at a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital with a Level III Trauma Center, 24/7 staffed emergency department and hospitalist services, helicopter transport, and state-of-the-art cath labs.

Package Details

• Competitive guaranteed base salary of $779,214 per year plus production.
• Excess call provides an additional $30,000 per year.
• $100,000 recruitment bonus.

Qualifications

• BC/BE; board certification required within 3 years of becoming eligible.
• H-1B and J-1 candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Offers are contingent on successful references, background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
• Graduate of a medical or osteopathic medical school.
• Demonstrated physician competency through completion of an appropriate residency program.
• Ability to obtain medical staff privileges.
• Above-average communication skills and ability to work with a team.
• Iowa physician license or eligibility, Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate, and Federal DEA Certificate.
