The Mason City Clinic has an opportunity for a BC/BE non-invasive General Cardiologist to join the Cardiology department.

Opportunity Highlights

• Join a busy practice of 10 physicians, 10 fellows, and 7 NPs.
• 1:6 call rotation, with opportunity for excess call at +$500 per diem; fellows take first call.
• Practice includes inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.
• Full range of cardiology services, including non-invasive, invasive, interventional, and EP, working alongside cardiac surgery and vascular surgery services.
• Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and cardioversions are required.
• Training opportunity with the Cardiology fellowship program.
• Cardiology Fellowship includes 3 residents per year and an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship accepting 1 per year.
• Opportunities for outreach at one of 10 critical access hospitals in a 14-county network.

Package Details

• Competitive guaranteed base salary of $599,804 per year plus production, with a 2-year guaranteed base.
• $100,000 bonus package.

Qualifications

• BC/BE; board certification is required within 3 years of becoming eligible.
• H-1B and J-1 candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Offers are contingent on successful completion of references, background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
• Graduation from a medical or osteopathic medical school is required.
• Demonstrated physician competency through completion of an appropriate residency program.
• Ability to obtain medical staff privileges.
• Above-average communication skills and ability to work with a team.
• Licensed or eligible for an Iowa physician license, Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate, and Federal DEA Certificate.
