Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Primary Care Physician, you will join an established practice in Federal Way, Washington. The practice specializes in diagnosing and treating primary care patients, making a significant impact on their lives and families.

Every day, you will provide compassionate and expert care, conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients’ holistic well-being.

Aspects of the Primary Care Physician Role

  • Team-based approach: Clinical pharmacists, behavioral health consultants, and advanced practitioners work alongside physicians to provide comprehensive, coordinated care. Each provider is part of a pod within the larger primary care team. Pods include physicians, ARNPs or PAs, medical assistants, and RNs. The ARNP or PA supports the pod with a smaller patient panel and allocated time for indirect care, with built-in coverage when a provider is out of the office. Pods are adaptable and can quickly adjust to team needs.
  • Flexible schedule options: Schedules are developed to accommodate individual needs as much as possible.
  • Access to ancillary and specialty services: Referral options are available across a wide range of medical and surgical specialties.
  • Teaching opportunities: Regular opportunities are available to precept medical students and residents. The environment is also conducive to providers new to practice.
  • Learning opportunities: A teaching culture and formal mentorship program support providers newly out of residency and promote long-term success.
  • Innovation: The practice promotes new approaches, best-practice standards, and continual improvement in patient and team-member safety and experience.

  • Compensation Range: $314,000–$345,000 per year

Federal Way Clinic

The clinic provides a full range of primary care internal medicine services. Other services include rotating specialists, laboratory facilities, radiology, ambulatory surgery, an anticoagulation clinic, diabetes care management, and mammography.

Federal Way is located 22 miles south of Seattle along the Puget Sound Inlet and near Mount Rainier. The area offers condominiums, suburban neighborhoods, golf-course homes, waterfront and water-view homes, recreational and cultural activities, and reasonable commuting access to Seattle and Tacoma.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certified or board eligible by the American Board in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Unrestricted active Washington State medical license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Ability to obtain a DEA registration with full prescriptive authority needed for the practice
  • Strong clinical diagnostic skills in an ambulatory setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages

Pay Range

$314,000–$345,000 per year
