Position Summary

The Director of Marketing will own the full marketing function including strategy, brand, content, and execution. This senior leadership role is responsible for building positioning foundations, leading day-to-day marketing activities, managing third-party agencies and vendors, and hiring and developing internal marketing talent as the company scales. The role requires hands-on government contracting marketing experience and understanding of how federal buyers discover, evaluate, and engage with contractors.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Define and own brand positioning, messaging, and value proposition for federal agency audiences and procurement decision-makers.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing plans spanning digital, content, events, and capabilities-based outreach aligned to capture and business development pipelines.
  • Create collateral including capability statements, white papers, case studies, web content, and proposal marketing narratives.
  • Manage third-party marketing agencies, design firms, PR vendors, and conference partners.
  • Partner with Business Development and Capture teams to support opportunity pursuit, RFI responses, and pre-solicitation positioning activities.
  • Build and lead the marketing team including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Track and report on marketing KPIs including pipeline influence, brand reach, content performance, and ROI.
  • Maintain awareness of GovCon market trends, competitor positioning, and the federal IT/ERP landscape.
  • Lead awards and recognition strategy for GovCon and SAP partner distinctions.
  • Drive strategic positioning within the SAP ecosystem through partner engagement and thought leadership.
  • Own events strategy including conferences, trade shows, and agency industry days.
  • Adhere to certified quality assurance and information security processes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrated success developing marketing programs for IT services, ERP, or data analytics in GovCon.
  • Experience managing agencies, creative vendors, and marketing budgets.
  • Strong content writing and editing skills for technical and non-technical materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience building or managing a small marketing team.
  • Ability to function as both strategist and executor.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with SAP, federal ERP modernization, or government data analytics programs.

Compensation

Expected salary range: $160,985.00 – $201,231.00 annually.
