Description

Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. You will conduct histories and physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, perform authorized procedures, and educate patients on preventative care. You’ll also document accurately and collaborate with the care team to ensure coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care under physician supervision

• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Prescribe medications

• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and supervising physician

• Educate and counsel patients on preventative care and health management

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly

• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS degree from an accredited program

• Active and unencumbered PA license in New York

• NCCPA national certification

• 1+ year of relevant clinical experience in specialty (preferred)
