Description

Provide pediatric cardiology care under supervision of a licensed physician in a children’s facility. You will assess pediatric patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as authorized. Maintain accurate medical documentation and coordinate care with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care under physician supervision

• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Prescribe medications

• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician

• Educate and counsel patients on preventative care

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals

• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly

• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS degree from an accredited program

• Active, unencumbered PA license in New York

• NCCPA national certification

• At least 1 year of clinical experience in the specialty (preferred)
