Description

Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric oncology patients under physician supervision. You will conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and document care—while collaborating with the healthcare team for coordinated management.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a licensed physician

• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Prescribe medications

• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician

• Educate and counsel patients on preventative care and health management

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly

• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Studies program

• Active and unencumbered PA license in California

• NCCPA national certification

• At least one year of clinical experience in the specialty (preferred)
