Description

Locum tenens Physician Assistant role providing electrophysiology coverage in an acute care hospital. The assignment offers scheduled shifts with no call for 13 weeks starting 12/01/26. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnostic testing, treatment planning, medication management, procedures as authorized, patient education, and thorough documentation under physician supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under supervision of a licensed physician

• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Prescribe medications

• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician

• Educate and counsel patients on preventative care and health management

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care

• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly

• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Studies program

• Active and unencumbered PA license in Washington

• NCCPA national certification

• At least 1 year of clinical experience in the specialty (preferred)
