Description

Provide comprehensive pediatric cardiology medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician in a children’s facility. This locum assignment includes scheduled coverage with no call over a 23-week period. You will assess patients, order/interpret diagnostics, develop treatment plans, and ensure accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Prescribe medications

• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician

• Educate and counsel patients on preventative care and health management

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly

• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS from an accredited program

• Active and unencumbered PA license in New York

• NCCPA national certification

• At least 1 year of clinical experience in the relevant specialty (preferred)
