Description

Provide safe and effective preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures. Administer appropriate general, regional, or local anesthesia, continuously monitor vital signs, respond to emergencies, and document patient care accurately. Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to develop optimal patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative anesthesia care (preop, intraop, postop)
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals on patient care plans
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia based on patient and procedure needs
• Continuously monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
• Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations during surgery
• Document patient care thoroughly in the medical record
• Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology via continuing education

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Anesthesiology residency training accredited by ACGME or AOA
• Board certification in anesthesiology (ABA or AOA)
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida
• Preferred: at least 1 year of clinical anesthesia experience
