Description

Provide comprehensive women’s healthcare across all stages of life in an acute care hospital. Responsibilities include gynecological exams, ultrasounds, diagnostic procedures, and surgical care (e.g., hysterectomies and cesarean sections) as within scope of practice. You will also counsel patients on reproductive health and family planning, collaborate with other clinicians, and maintain accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life

• Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures

• Perform surgical procedures such as hysterectomies and cesarean sections (and minimally invasive procedures depending on scope)

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions

• Provide counseling on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning

• Collaborate with pediatricians and neonatologists for coordinated patient care

• Maintain accurate and complete medical records

• Stay current with continuing education in obstetrics and gynecology

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

• OB/GYN residency training accredited by ACGME or AOA

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG or AOA)

• Active and unrestricted medical license in North Carolina

• 1+ year of OB/GYN experience in a clinical or hospital setting (preferred)
