Description

Provide diagnostic and therapeutic neurosurgical care for brain, spine, and peripheral nerve conditions during a temporary locum tenens assignment. Duties include patient evaluation (exam and imaging), perioperative management, surgical care, monitoring, and accurate medical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic neurosurgical procedures

• Evaluate patients to determine the need for surgical intervention

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans

• Provide preoperative and postoperative care

• Monitor and interpret patient conditions during and after surgery and adjust treatment plans

• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Neurosurgery residency training accredited by ACGME or AOA

• Board certification in neurosurgery by ABNS (or equivalent)

• Active and unrestricted medical license in North Carolina

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a care setting (preferred)
