Description

Provide occupational medicine nurse practitioner coverage in an outpatient clinic on scheduled shifts with no call. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostics, prescribe medications, and manage chronic conditions. Document care accurately and coordinate with physicians and other providers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnose/treat a variety of medical conditions

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions

• Provide patient education and lifestyle counseling

• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers for coordinated care

• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty

• Active, unencumbered APRN license in Pennsylvania

• National NP certification in a relevant specialty by a recognized certifying body

• At least 1 year of clinical experience in a relevant specialty (preferred)
