Description

Locum Pediatric Oncology NP role providing coverage at a children’s facility with scheduled, no-call hours. You will assess pediatric patients, develop individualized treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families. You’ll also document care and collaborate with physicians and other providers to ensure coordinated treatment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
• Provide patient education and counseling
• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP scope
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team for coordinated care

Requirements

• MSN degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., pediatrics)
• Active and unencumbered APRN license in California
• National NP certification in a relevant specialty area (e.g., AANP)
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in a relevant setting (preferred)
