Description

Design, build, and scale backend services that safely manage loan financing across multiple institutional products, including Portfolio Margin, Trade Finance, Agency Lending, Bilateral Lending, and more. You will own the architecture-to-production delivery of new financing products and features, ensuring correctness and safety. You’ll also drive engineering excellence by improving tooling, testing, monitoring, and operational reliability.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of new financing products/features from architecture through production launch

• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and frameworks for loan lifecycle management, risk calculations, and real-time position tracking

• Improve developer tooling, testing infrastructure, monitoring, and operational reliability

• Partner with Product, Risk, Operations, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Lead initiatives to strengthen resilience, reduce operational risk, and support shipping safely at speed

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with production ownership of services handling high-reliability or financial workloads

• Proven experience designing, building, and scaling service-oriented architectures in Go, Java, or a comparable backend language

• Experience operating distributed systems where correctness, availability, and data integrity are critical

• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical design reviews to raise code quality

• Familiarity with relational data stores, gRPC/Protobuf, and observability tooling in a cloud-native environment

• Use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and measurable improvements
