• Role: Senior Software Engineer (platform/back-end engineering)

Description

You’ll implement and scale a platform that simplifies complex infrastructure management across cloud-native and on-premises environments for next-generation cyberspace operations. The role focuses on back-end design and architecture, GitOps workflows for version-controlled automation, and tooling/processes that bridge development and operations while improving productivity and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of back-end systems

• Deploy and maintain a robust, high-quality platform aligned to user requirements and delivered on-time

• Limit and resource test the platform

• Facilitate platform delivery and deployment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years of hands-on software engineering experience)

• Demonstrated ability to deploy, maintain, and monitor hardware, Docker containers, and Kubernetes clusters (typically 2+ years full-time experience)

• Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker/Podman)

• Proficiency with Kubernetes orchestration

• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred)

• Proficiency with Linux-based development environments

• Ability to collaborate as a team but execute independently

• Strong system architecture/design skills

• On-premises system troubleshooting proficiency

• Proficiency with source code management (Git/GitHub/GitLab)
