Description

Lead a Center of Excellence for IT provider management, software licensing, and group-wide IT coordination. Steer strategic IT service providers and technology partners across the provider lifecycle while ensuring regulatorily compliant ICT provider governance—especially in the context of DORA and third-party/outsourcing risk. Manage and develop teams, advise executives and cross-functional stakeholders, and drive data-driven governance using KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Own overall responsibility for IT service provider management, license management, and group management teams

• Lead and develop an interdisciplinary specialist team and an expert manager for IT group management

• Steer the most strategically important IT providers and technology partners throughout the provider lifecycle

• Implement regulatory requirements for governing ICT providers (incl. outsourcing management and third-party risk management)

• Lead and develop the group-wide Preferred Supplier Pool (supplier strategy, governance, sourcing categories)

• Plan, conduct, and steer tenders and procurement processes with Procurement and business units

• Work closely with IT Controlling on budgeting, forecasting, cost control, business cases, and economic evaluation of IT services/providers

• Assess, approve, and control new license needs and ensure legally sound, cost-effective license renewals

• Ensure compliance in software asset and license management (audit support, vendor communication, license utilization optimization)

• Steer and evolve central IT service delivery processes and ensure efficient end-to-end flows between internal and external service providers

• Advise leadership and stakeholders on sourcing, provider, contract, and license strategies

• Co-create transformation initiatives and represent the COE in cross-functional projects, committees, and management decisions

• Promote KPI-driven steering through governance structures and transparent decision bases

Requirements

• Successfully completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or comparable qualification

• Proven leadership experience in IT service provider/vendor management, IT sourcing, license management, or IT governance

• Demonstrated experience managing strategic IT service providers and complex provider ecosystems

• Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements for governing ICT providers, ideally in the context of DORA, VAIT, MaGo, or comparable frameworks

• Experience conducting tenders, contract negotiations, and vendor management at management level

• Strong understanding of IT service delivery processes and their governance/continuous improvement

• Solid knowledge of Software Asset Management and license management, including experience with different license metrics and models from leading vendors

• Strong understanding of business economics and experience collaborating with IT controlling and finance

• Ability to communicate complex issues appropriately up to top management level

• Negotiation confidence, political savvy, and the ability to assert decisions in a demanding stakeholder environment

• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on implementation capability
