Description

Assess and translate customer/business expectations into user stories, detailed designs, and test objectives for software components. Design and implement front-end and back-end solutions with REST APIs, telemetry, security controls, CI/CD automation, and scalable architectures. Debug, test, and maintain applications by analyzing defects, logs, metrics, and performance to meet business and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate gaps and iterate requirements in an Agile setting; classify requirements
• Anticipate risks during requirements gathering; inform stakeholders and recommend corrective actions
• Create user stories and assist with solution design for component/module integration
• Convert HD to detailed design using mock screens, pseudo code, and module functional logic
• Select development standards, tools, and languages; create/configure minimal code for components/applications
• Ensure components meet business/technical requirements including non-functional needs (maintainability, availability, scalability)
• Build automation scripts for CI/CD, testing, or other repetitive tasks
• Implement telemetry features independently
• Apply security policy requirements during development/configuration
• Map customer requirements to test objectives; create and execute test cases
• Run appropriate testing and conduct regression testing after fixes
• Track and analyze defects and troubleshoot performance/availability bottlenecks
• Perform complex maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering
• Analyze logs, maintenance data, and performance metrics; evaluate change requests
• Monitor progress to adhere to approved milestones and timelines

Requirements

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field with 1 year of software engineering experience; or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 3 years of software engineering experience
• Experience designing and developing front-end web applications using HTML, CSS, React, and Angular
• Experience building RESTful APIs for back-end web applications using JavaScript and Node.js
• Experience using object-oriented languages (Java and C#)
• Experience designing scalable software architecture
• Experience building SQL queries for deployment data using SQL Server
• Experience developing retail database applications using Azure SQL and Cassandra
• Experience with algorithms/data structures for locking mechanisms and mutual exclusion in distributed systems
• Experience using Git and Jenkins for deployment, source control, and build processes
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• CI/CD experience including Git, Maven, Jenkins, and DevOps
• Cloud technology experience including Splunk, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure
• Unit testing experience with JUnit and Mocha; code quality control with Sonar
• Cloud development experience using Kubernetes and Docker
• Ability to identify business requirements and deliver technical solutions; debug and fix domain and QA issues
• Create and execute test cases; detect errors and defects; perform regression testing
