Description

The Senior Software Quality Engineer will shape the quality strategy for software products within an Agile Scrum framework. The role designs, executes, and reports on multiple testing types (functional, exploratory, integration, performance, usability, security, and accessibility) and drives testability and automation. You will collaborate across teams to identify and resolve defects, improve processes, and mentor junior quality engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and adopt holistic quality approaches for the entire team

• Collaborate with product owners and developers on user story test strategies and actionable acceptance criteria

• Drive testability, measure test coverage, develop automation, and promote testing best practices

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test cases

• Test backend components including Web Services, database integrations, and APIs

• Lead a quality-first strategy and facilitate proactive risk discussions

• Investigate, reproduce, and perform root cause analysis on complex defects with developers and product owners

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for the product portfolio

• Mentor junior teammates and improve testing processes

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience

• 5–7 years of software testing experience

• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks, as well as source control tools

• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies

• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

• Proven leadership abilities and self-starter mentality
